The West Michigan Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators conducts an annual compensation survey for non-attorney staff in the West Michigan, Mid-Michigan and Detroit regions. In addition, on a periodic basis the chapter also conducts a policies and benefits survey. These surveys provide a valuable resource for regional law firm management as they contain compensation data for staff positions not included in the national survey conducted by ALA as well as more specific data about firm policies and benefits in our regions.
Our surveys are conducted by The Employers’ Association in Grand Rapids, a not-for-profit employers’ association formed in 1939. TEA has been conducting compensation and benefits surveys for over 50 years and co-sponsors several national surveys through the Employers’ Associations of America.
